A large purchase was just made on FlyinMiata. The first real modifications for my car are on their way. Now the wait begins.

All the stuff for an LS swap?

Not that large of a purchase:(

lol Nope, suspension package. Doubling the power would not sit well with my rekt suspension.

what if tripling the power?
lol j/k. Dude awesomeness! She will ride like a champ very soon!

Nice!! That’s exciting. My rear dampers are totally shot, I want to replace my suspension SO BADLY. And hopefully end up with something like this eventually:

This suspension package?

“Change your bushings”, is my vote.
![]() 05/20/2016 at 10:16 |

I did that to my ‘97 last year! You won’t be disappointed.

Pfft. All you people with your bolt on mods that don’t require using parts from another manufacturer and welding and cutting things.

|
Just remember, to truly go fast, you have to fix the loose nut behind the wheel. Enjoy your upgrades.

My dad complains enough when I’m working on my car in the garage. Welding things wouldn’t improve the situation.

That can wait till next winter:)

I inspected them and they look fine. I don’t think they are responsible for my horrible ride over bumps. Replacement will definitely happen down the road but $419 for stiffer rubber bushings doesn’t fit in my budget right now.

One of their suspension packages. FM springs, Koni yellows, FM bump stops, FM extended travel rear shock mounts. And I ordered new regular KYB shock mounts for the front.

Are those Benz wheels?
![]() 05/20/2016 at 11:05 |

Yeah, replace them when you can! I used an Energy Suspension Master Kit and it changed my car on my car.

Tripling the power would require a V8 haha. And a V8 swap is not going to happen while I’m still in college.

Yeah if they currently looked bad I’d spend the money. I also don’t put that many miles on my car so I should have plenty of time.

I know which wheels you’re talking about but nope, I think they’re some kind of VIP wheel, pretty common on VIP builds

Congrats! Did you end up getting the Tokicos? Anything else?

My budget increased since I decided to not get my fender fixed. So I went with the Koni 1.5 package. Unfortunately the FM rear shock mounts are on back order.

Find some NB tophats instead, it’ll be better than sticking with stock.
